Yn Gymraeg

Well, that's that done.

The rather ravishing glass awards have been given out to some of the most talented young people in Wales in last Saturday's CLICawards in Cardiff's National Museum of Wales.

Like the awards themselves, young people all over Wales came to celebrate all that is CLIC related, though rather saddened at the lack of a woolly mammoth.

But enough of my jibber jabber, let us sing triumphantly to the song of the winners, while equally congratulating those who were nominated.

The Funniest Article award went home in the arms of BethanTheBarmy for her article Rant On Religion, though she was knocked into third place in the Best Review category, as Cardiff's very own Jeff The Fridge earned that accolade for his review of Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Be Yourself, Make A Difference was crowned the Most Useful Article of this year. The article, written by Carmarthenshire Youth's TheBossYouGetIt discusses GwirForce, or "the X Factor of Volunteering."

On the media side of the awards, the rather brilliant Moustachio won Video of the Year, while Swansea's Akshay1 topped the polls for Photographer of the Year with his stills of McFly.

Flintshire's very own Kranenvurhurr took the gong for Best Newcomer for his dedication and has become a valued member of the Young Flintshire editorial team. Kranenvurhurr, real name Nicolas, also produces well-researched and interesting articles, bringing his love of trains, industry and technology to the masses.

TheSprout would not be the same without the one who earned Most Involved CLICer and that man is Stormer007. Not only has he attended most meetings, events, weekends away and conducted many interviews, his positivity towards the project is infectious and his involvement has both helped to shape CLIC and has inspired other young people to get involved.

One of the biggest winners was Wicid's Ihavethecyrusvirusx who was crowned CLICer of the Year. She has been part of the network since November 2010, and since that date the once quiet and shy girl has gained confidence through the involvement with the CLIC project.

Those may be the winners, but what of those who came close to victory? Well, below are the full list of the top three from each category, with links to both their creations and their profiles.
